Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to join our team at Dunbar Hospital Thurso. This part-time post covers four days on a two-week rota and will involve supervising catering and domestic services to ensure high standards of cleanliness and infection control.

The successful candidate will manage staff, ensure compliance with policies, hold a driving licence, and be available to cover NHS sites in the local area.

Qualifications

• Ensure high standards of service and cleanliness in line with local infection control policies and Covid-19 guidance.
• Maintain compliance with the NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification and Waste Regulations.
• Be prepared to cover all NHS sites in the local geographical area; driving licence required; fleet vehicle available.

Facilities Supervisor, 24 Hours Post Based at Dunbar Hospital Thurso

We are currently seeking to recruit Facilities Supervisor to join our team in Dunbar Hospital Thurso. This post will be based in Dunbar Hospital. The successful applicant’s role shall be to provide services and Supervision to the Catering and Domestic services.

The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness are maintained in line with local infection control policies, Covid 19 guidance and maintaining compliance with the NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification, and Waste Regulations.

This post includes supervision of all services provided by the facilities team. This role including catering and domestic duties. Preferred facilities experience supports the Support Manager to ensure policies and procedures are managed and meet legislation, daily supervision and management of the team and operational services, management of core and role training, and authorise and complete Scottish Standard time system. The successful applicant will be required to cover, if required, all NHS Sites in the local geographical area, a fleet vehicle is available for travelling to sites, and it is essential to have a driving licence. Access to economical public transport is also acceptable.

This is a Part time post to be available to work over 4 days on a two week rota which will include every second weekend.
