Woodlands Secondary School is seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Manager to keep the site safe, secure and well maintained for students, staff and visitors.

The role requires a strategic focus, with responsibility for cleaning teams, health and safety compliance, and project/contractor management. An IOSH qualification is desirable, with willingness to complete it on site.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in facilities or site management with strategic focus.
• Experience with health and safety and statutory compliance.
• Experience in budgeting and lettings management.
• Willing to pursue IOSH qualification if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Manage the site and cleaning teams.
• Ensure Health & Safety and statutory compliance.
• Oversee project and contractor management.
• Hold site-related budget responsibility and drive income via lettings management.
• Champion sustainability and environmental efficiency.
• Provide expertise on all facilities and premises work.
• Collaborate with School Business Manager to develop a robust site development plan aligned with the school's improvement plan, values and vision.
