Job summary

BGIS is seeking a site-based engineer to maintain building environmental conditions and supervise day-to-day PPM and reactive works on critical systems. The role requires knowledge of air conditioning, UPS, generators and LV systems, with fault-finding via alarm data.

Working hours are 6am–6pm on a continental shift pattern. You will ensure safe methods, proper documentation, and coordination with subcontractors while maintaining BGIS standards on site.

Qualifications

• Experience with PPM and reactive works on M&E plant.
• Knowledge of air conditioning, UPS, generators and LV systems.
• Ability to fault find using alarm data and graphical information.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine PPM on M&E plant according to site schedules.
• Complete reactive tasks and identify improvements; include concessionary stores and fabric items.
• Supervise sub-contractors and ensure safe operation during repairs or services.
• Operate the Permit to Work System per BGIS QA and client requirements.
• Ensure plant faults are remedied promptly to keep systems in serviceable order.
• Maintain accurate spare parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works.
• Complete paperwork for reactive and breakdown works and update CAFM systems.
