Job summary

BGIS UK is seeking a Deputy Shift Leader to oversee the maintenance of office environmental and critical building systems, ensuring high service levels and reliability. You will supervise a shift team, carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on the contracted site, and communicate with the client professionally.

You will manage and issue work orders via the CAFM system, ensure safety standards, coordinate with subcontractors, and uphold BGIS's policy on safety,

Qualifications

• Experience in Building Services within corporate environments or complex buildings.
• Experience supervising people.
• Shift work experience, including day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist a shift team in carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on the contracted site.
• Manage and issue work orders through the CAFM system, ensuring safety and correct standards are met.
• Ensure routine PPM on M&E plant is carried out and time is recorded in the CAFM system.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and safe operation during repairs or services.
• Prepare and maintain paperwork for reactive/breakdown works and update the site CAFM system.
• Develop good working relationships with BGIS staff, subcontractors and client representatives.
• Ensure LOTO and safe working practices are followed and that KPI/SLA targets are met.
