Job summary

BGIS Capacity Shift Engineer in City of London will maintain environmental conditions across critical building systems and carry out PPM tasks alongside reactive and breakdown works on M&E equipment. You will fault-find on air conditioning, UPS, generators, and LV systems, using BMS data and current alarms.

Role requires supervising subcontractors, managing permits to work, and ensuring safe operations. Continental shifts, days and nights, with a focus on reliability and KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining building services and critical M&E plant.
• Ability to fault find on HVAC, electrical, and control systems.
• Knowledge of BMS operation and reading drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM tasks and reactive/breakdown works on M&E systems.
• Supervise sub-contractors and approve safe work on site.
• Operate Permit to Work and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Maintain spares lists, timescales, and accurate site records.
• Close reactive/breakdown tickets in Maximo and report KPI status.
