Job summary

The Housing Executive is recruiting a Facilities Services Manager to join the Facilities and Accommodation team in Northern Ireland. The role is based in Belfast or Craigavon, overseeing day-to-day delivery of all facility services across the office estate including cleaning, security, waste management and H&S compliance.

You will have a degree in facilities management (or related subject) with 2+ years' experience, or 4 years' equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in facilities management or related subject with 2+ years' relevant experience.
• Alternatively, 4 years' relevant experience in managing facilities and accommodation.
• Experience across multiple locations, contract management, and budget control.
• Excellent planning, organisational skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management and delivery of all facility services.
• Manage soft services including cleaning, security, waste management and H&S compliance.
• Lead and supervise staff across services.
• Ensure delivery standards and effectively represent the organisation's interests.

Job description

The Housing Executive is now recruiting for a Facilities Services Manager to join their Facilities and Accommodation team.

Grade: Band 6

Reports to: Workspace Services Manager

Locations: x1 role based in Belfast & x1 based in Craigavon

Job Purpose

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of all facility services within the Housing Executive’s office estate, including (but not limited to) soft facilities such as cleaning, security, waste management, and H&S compliance.

Essential Experience

1.

• Possess a degree or equivalent level qualification in a facilities management discipline (or equivalent related subject) and can demonstrate at least two years’ relevant experience managing facilities and accommodation

OR

• Exceptionally, can demonstrate 4 years’ relevant experience in managing facilities and accommodation

2.

• Can demonstrate significant experience in each of the following areas:
• Facilities management in a medium to large scale organisation over multiple locations Supervision of staff across a range of services Specification and management of facilities contracts Financial control of budgets and management of costs

3.

• Can demonstrate: Excellent planning and organisational skills Ability to work accurately under pressure of multiple deadlines Ability to professionally represent the interests of the organisation A successful track record in developing and maintaining productive working relationships

4.

• Possess a current driving licence or have access to a form of transport that enables them to meet the requirements of the post in full
