Job summary

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Assistant at Gregory House in Workington to keep the service, buildings and equipment in good repair and safe for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs.

You will perform maintenance tasks, liaise with contractors, and support safety and quality across the facilities, with training provided and opportunities for career development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance role.
• Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Maintain facilities and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain service buildings, facilities and equipment.
• Utilise DIY skills to ensure safety of residents.
• Perform regular checks and maintenance.
• Repair and maintain all buildings.
• Liaise with a manager to report faults and defects.
• Co-ordinate with contractors on site and complete paperwork.
• Participate in a one-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
