Job summary

Ty Hafan is seeking an experienced Assistant Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of facilities services and health and safety across the hospice estate. Based at head office, you will manage a small team, contractors and volunteers, ensuring compliant, high‑quality services daily.

You will oversee maintenance programmes, coordinate risk assessments, and drive a strong safety culture while reporting to the Head of Estates and Facilities.

Qualifications

• Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
• Experience in a multi-site facilities management environment.
• Strong people management and leadership capabilities.
• Experience facilitating statutory/ regulatory building compliance and risk assessments.
• Sound knowledge of facilities, property and health & safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day facilities services across all sites and supervise staff and volunteers.
• Manage contractor performance, procurement and supplier relationships for value and quality.
• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance programmes to minimise disruption.
• Maintain statutory/compliance schedules and timely action close-out.
• Coordinate health and safety activities including risk assessments and incident management.
• Control budgets and report performance and risks to Head of Estates and Facilities.
