Job summary

Harris Hill is recruiting a Facilities Manager to oversee the facilities management and day-to-day operation of a purpose-built national training and conference centre. The role combines facilities management, health and safety, team leadership, contractor management and customer service to support a charity with a strong social purpose.

Qualifications

• Experience managing facilities and leading a team in a conference/hospitality environment.
• Operational management experience with health and safety, risk assessments and audits.
• Experience managing budgets and procurement, plus contractors and suppliers.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with a collaborative leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the on-site facilities team.
• Ensure statutory, health and safety compliance is maintained.
• Manage contractors, suppliers and facilities contracts.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and building services improvements.
• Manage the facilities budget and procurement of goods and services.
• Support refurbishment, maintenance and capital works projects.
• Coordinate with event and booking teams to prepare facilities to a high standard.
• Act as a key point of contact for facilities and health and safety queries.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external users.
• Support the centre to operate efficiently and sustainably in line with policies.
