About the role

We operate the UK's only flexible multi-temp, shared customer delivery logistics network. We buy, warehouse, pick, and distribute products to the nation's best-loved food and drink brands every day, providing the best experience to our customers.

We are currently recruiting Site Engineers to ensure first-class maintenance services are delivered at the two Hoddesdon sites, adhering to legislative requirements and meeting KPI's & SLA's across the distribution centre.

You will be responsible for

• Ensuring all plant, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime
• Being the first point of contact for all site maintenance issues
• Diagnosing faults
• Undertaking planned maintenance
• Responding to major equipment breakdowns
• Working with the Facilities Team to manage budgets
• Ensuring the distribution centre meets legal compliance for maintenance
• Effectively managing facilities' third-party contractors
• Attending regular meetings to review, plan, and prioritize activities

You will need

• TEC/City & Guilds qualification or a time-served apprenticeship in an electrical/mechanical environment or building services
• Ability to prioritize workload
• Practical skills
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, ladder work, working at heights, and using power tools
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Health and Safety knowledge
• Experience in a logistics environment familiar with multi-temperature storage
• Good understanding of Microsoft software
