Job summary

Rokeby School is seeking an experienced Facilities and Premises Manager to lead the management and maintenance of our school premises. You will oversee buildings, grounds and facilities to ensure high standards and safe operations near Kingston upon Thames.

You will manage a premises team and contractors, plan refurbishment projects and support the Bursar with the 5 year development plan, while maintaining budgets and coordinating day-to-day operations for transport, assembly setups, cleaning

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a premises team and contractors.
• Planning and running refurbishment projects.
• Strong focus on health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and upkeep of the school buildings and grounds.
• Procuring services and delivering projects efficiently and timely.
• Supporting the Bursar in developing and implementing the 5 year development plan.
• Leading, motivating and supporting the premises team, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
• Managing day-to-day premises activities including transport, assembly/exam set-ups, cleaning, routine maintenance and servicing.
• Liaising with teaching and support staff to ensure that the needs of the school are met.
• Ensuring Health and Safety compliance, overseeing and implementing the appropriate safety protocols and risk assessments.
• Managing the annual premises and grounds budgets.
