Job summary

JLL at Australia House in London is seeking a Porter to provide essential facilities support and professional event setup for diplomatic functions and internal meetings. The role ensures the building remains safe, well-maintained, and efficient, with duties spanning inspections, deliveries, and space preparation.

You will inspect daily, coordinate with the mail room, set up AV systems, assist with furniture movements, and support catering for events, including rooftop spaces.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities support or porter services preferred.
• Ability to lift and move furniture and equipment safely.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Flexible hours to accommodate event schedules.

Responsibilities

• Conduct morning and afternoon building inspections; identify and remove obstructions from walkways and fire evacuation routes.
• Perform twice-weekly kitchen and kitchenette checks; restock supplies as needed.
• Coordinate with COPA mail room for internal delivery of larger parcels and respond to delivery requests.
• Report building damage, hazards, and safety risks to Facilities.
• Complete ad hoc tasks including furniture relocation, stationery delivery, waste removal, and simple furniture assembly.
• Maintain inventories of stored furniture and event equipment; keep stores tidy.
• Monitor supply levels and advise when restocking is required.
• Review event setup requirements; arrange furniture and set up AV equipment for events.
• Coordinate post-event cleanup and return of items to storage.
