Buckler’s Mead Academy in Yeovil is seeking a Facilities Operative to support the Premises Manager across two schools. The role involves basic maintenance, servicing, procurement, and health and safety tasks, with responsibilities for opening and securing the premises each day.

The post is full-time and permanent, with shifts across early and late slots. The academy offers a supportive induction and ongoing professional development within a thriving school community.

Qualifications

• Able to maintain and manage accurate electronic records.
• Able to reprioritise work at short notice, responding to urgent tasks while undertaking routine tasks.
• Organised and have good time management skills.
• Capable of working with staff from all areas of the academy, external agencies and partner schools.

Responsibilities

• Basic maintenance, repair and refurbishment tasks.
• Servicing, procurement, health and safety, contract management and premises development.
• Master key holder and ensure premises are opened at start of day and secured at end of day.
