Job summary

Vox Consultants in West London seeks an experienced Soft Facilities Management Manager to lead the strategic and operational delivery of soft FM services for a Local Authority estate on an ongoing contract.

You will oversee Cleaning, Catering, Security and Hub Management, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and drive service excellence across multiple buildings and contracts.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior Soft Facilities Management role.
• Experience managing cleaning, catering, security or other soft FM services.
• Experience leading large operational teams and multiple service areas.
• Good knowledge of health and safety, food hygiene, security and environmental compliance.
• Experience managing FM contracts, procurement and service-level agreements.
• Strong budget management and financial reporting experience.
• Ability to monitor KPIs and improve service performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Public sector/public authority experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage soft FM services across the Council's estate, including cleaning, hygiene, security, access control, catering and hospitality.
• Provide direct management and technical oversight of the Catering, Cleaning, Security and Hub Management teams.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, environmental health and physical security requirements.
• Manage service performance, ensuring teams meet agreed KPIs and maintain high standards across Council buildings.
• Oversee soft FM contracts, suppliers and procurement activities, ensuring value for money and effective service delivery.
• Manage operational budgets and support the Head of FM & Compliance with financial planning and large–scale in–house payroll.
• Monitor contractor and supplier performance, addressing service issues and implementing improvements.
• Lead, motivate and develop operational teams to deliver efficient, customer–focused services.
• Work closely with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure facilities are safe, compliant and ready for use.

Pay Rate: GBP47.38 per hour (Umbrella – Paid Weekly)

Contract: Ongoing Temporary Contract

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Soft Facilities Management Manager to join a local authority in Harrow on an ongoing contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic and operational delivery of soft facilities management services across the Council's estate, including cleaning, catering, security and hub management.

• Experience managing FM contracts, procurement, suppliers and service–level agreements.
• Strong budget management and financial reporting experience.
• Ability to monitor KPIs, improve service performance and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous local authority or public sector experience would be advantageous.
