Job summary

Wigan & Leigh Hospice is seeking a Facilities Officer to provide essential support to the Estates Manager, ensuring our premises are safe, well maintained and compliant with health and safety standards. The role covers multiple hospice locations, including the main building and retail shops.

This fixed-term, 6-month contract is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with generous benefits and a commitment to staff wellbeing.

Job description

Role: Facilities Officer
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: 6 months fixed term
Salary: £32,073 per annum

About the Role

The Facilities Officer role is providing essential support to the Estates Manager across all aspects of facilities management. The role will help ensure that our premises remain safe, well maintained and compliant with relevant health and safety legislation and applicable standards.

The post will support facilities across all Hospice locations, including the main hospice building and retail shops.

Working Pattern

This is a 37-hour per week, fixed-term role for six months, working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Please note: This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route of the UK’s points-based immigration system. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence of this before taking up the post.

Successful appointments will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) check as part of the pre-employment screening process.
