Job summary

Grosvenor Services is seeking a Facilities Officer (Hard Services) to support safe, compliant, and efficient building operations at Reading, UK. The role covers non-technical PPM, minor reactive maintenance, and ensuring facilities meet standards for occupants and service providers.

The post acts as the on-site Hard Services representative, coordinating with contractors, performing compliance tasks, and maintaining records while upholding health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

Facilities Management or Property Maintenance experience.
Routine PPM inspection experience.
Minor maintenance and repair experience.
Understanding of statutory compliance requirements.
Emergency lighting testing.
Building fabric maintenance.
Health & Safety legislation.
Permit-to-work awareness.
Basic M&E knowledge.
Attention to detail.
Record keeping and reporting.
Problem solving.

Responsibilities

Deliver non-technical Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities across the estate.
Undertake minor reactive maintenance and repairs as needed.
Support statutory compliance requirements and inspections.
Act as on-site representative for Hard Services
Escort contractors, issue permits and report delivery issues
Respond to facilities requests and support occupants
Work with health, safety and environmental policies and improve safety
Identify and report compliance risks and monitor contractor activity

About the Role

The Facilities Officer (Hard Services) is responsible for supporting the safe, compliant and efficient operation of building services across the estate. The role will deliver non-technical planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities, undertake minor reactive maintenance works, support statutory compliance requirements and ensure facilities remain safe, functional and fit for purpose. The post holder will act as a key on-site representative for Hard Services, working closely with occupiers, contractors and service providers to ensure high standards of building maintenance and customer service are maintained.
