Job summary

Grosvenor Services in Hemel Hempstead requires a reliable Facilities Officer (Hard Services) to support safe, compliant building operations across the estate. You will perform non-technical PPM, assist with compliance, and act as on-site representative for contractors, occupiers and service providers.

The role involves visits to other sites between Hemel, Reading and London to cover holidays. Applicants should have FM/maintenance experience, CAFM familiarity and strong customer service skills to

Qualifications

  • Facilities Management or Property Maintenance experience.
  • Routine PPM inspection experience.
  • Minor maintenance and repair experience.
  • Understanding of statutory compliance requirements.
  • CAFM system experience
  • Customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and routine checks across the estate.
  • Water hygiene monitoring and emergency lighting tests.
  • Compliance checks and audits; maintain CAFM records.
  • Contractor management: escort, permits, monitor performance and compliance.
  • Respond to facilities requests and support occupants to ensure high service levels.

Location: Mobile - Hemel Hempstead to London

Job Type: Permanent

Rate: £30,000 per annum

Start Date: Immediately

Days Required: Monday to Friday

Hours: 8 hors/day - 40 hours/week

About The Role

We are seeking a reliable Facilities Officer to join our team in Hemel Hempstead. The Facilities Officer (Hard Services) is responsible for supporting the safe, compliant and efficient operation of building services across the estate. The role will deliver non-technical planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities, undertake minor reactive maintenance works, support statutory compliance requirements and ensure facilities remain safe, functional and fit for purpose. The post holder will act as a key on-site representative for Hard Services, working closely with occupiers, contractors and service providers to ensure high standards of building maintenance and customer service are maintained.

The will be a requirement to go to other sites between Hemel, Reading and London for Holiday cover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

  • Meter readings
  • Plant room inspections
  • Building condition checks
  • Compliance inspections and audits
  • Maintaining CAFM records

  • Complete compliance checks and inspections

  • Monitor contractor compliance activities
Contractor Management
  • Escort contractors on site
  • Issue permits where authorised
  • Monitor contractor performance
  • Ensure contractor compliance
  • Report on service delivery issues
Customer Service
  • Respond to facilities requests
  • Provide stakeholder updates
  • Support building occupants
  • Promote excellent customer experience
Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities
  • Work in accordance with H&S policies
  • Conduct dynamic risk assessments

Requirements
Essential Experience
  • Facilities Management or Property Maintenance experience
  • Routine PPM inspection experience
