Job summary

Albany Med Health System is seeking a Facilities Maintenance professional for the Day shift. The role involves repairs, maintenance, overhauls, and assembly of various machines, equipment and building systems, including HVAC, pumps, motors, plumbing and electrical work. It also covers minor construction and snow removal duties.

You will read blueprints and shop drawings, maintain inventory, and perform preventative maintenance with adherence to safety policies. Overtime and on-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• Repairs and overhauls machinery and building systems.
• Operates and maintains HVAC units and related equipment.
• Performs carpentry, plumbing, electrical and masonry tasks.
• Assists with snow removal and vehicle operation.
• Reads blueprints, schematics and shop drawings.
• Maintains spare parts and equipment records.
• Overtime and on-call duties may apply.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, maintains, overhauls and assembles various machines, equipment and building systems.
• Maintains and overhauls equipment such as compressors, pumps, motors and fans.
• Repairs and minor construction to buildings and facility, including painting, plastering, masonry, carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
• Performs periodic preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Assists and cooperates with supervision to schedule and complete projects.
