Job summary

Cellular Origins is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and plan for the transition to a new headquarters. You will manage two sites in Cambridgeshire, maintain safety and compliance, and drive improvements that support safety, productivity and momentum across the business.

You will spend time on site, coordinate with senior leaders, landlords and contractors, and lead the move to the new HQ.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Facilities Manager or in a similar facilities role.
• Strong practical knowledge of health and safety, fire safety and building compliance.
• Experience working with external contractors and service providers, including accountability.

Responsibilities

• Run facilities operations across two sites, including maintenance, cleaning, security and general site services.
• Maintain consistent facilities standards across both locations to ensure a reliable experience for staff.
• Own supplier and service contracts, ensuring quality, value and accountability.
• Manage the facilities budget with emphasis on cost discipline, safety and reliability.
• Lead the move to the new headquarters, planning relocation and ensuring utilities and safety systems are ready.
• Support colleagues through the transition to ensure the move is well organised and communicated.
• Ensure health, safety and compliance in buildings, meeting regulatory requirements.
• Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments and drive corrective actions to completion.
