Job summary

Cellular Origins is seeking a proactive Facilities Manager to oversee operations across two Cambridgeshire sites, including our new HQ. You will lead day-to-day maintenance, health & safety compliance, and supplier contracts while shaping how our facilities evolve as the company grows.

You will work closely with engineers, scientists and external partners, balancing cost discipline with reliability to support patient-focused research and manufacturing activities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Facilities Manager or similar role.
• Strong understanding of health and safety, fire safety and building compliance.
• Experience working with external contractors and service providers.

Responsibilities

• Run facilities operations across two sites, including maintenance, cleaning, security, waste and site services.
• Ensure facilities standards are consistent across both locations for a reliable experience.
• Own supplier/service contracts with accountability for quality and cost.
• Manage facilities budget with safety and reliability in mind.
• Support the transition to the new HQ with clear communication and organisation.
• Take responsibility for health, safety and compliance in buildings.
• Manage audits, inspections and risk assessments and drive corrective actions.
• Act as main point of contact for facilities-related safety matters.
• Improve environments over time by refining policies and sustainability.
