Job summary

Cellular Origins Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across two Cambridgeshire sites, including a new HQ project. You will manage safety, reliability, and environmental compliance while coordinating with engineers, scientists and external contractors.

The role offers ownership of facilities standards, budgets, and strategic improvements to sustain growth and ensure a safe, productive workplace for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Facilities Manager or in a similar facilities role.
• Strong practical understanding of health and safety, fire safety and building compliance.
• Experience working with external contractors and service providers, including holding them to account.
• Organisational and communication skills to manage competing priorities without losing detail.
• Experience in laboratory, technical or regulated environments would be beneficial, as would involvement in refurbishments, relocations or fit out projects.

Responsibilities

• Run facilities operations across two sites, including planned and reactive maintenance, cleaning, security, waste and general site services.
• Ensure facilities standards are consistent across both locations for a reliable experience.
• Own supplier and service contracts with focus on quality and accountability.
• Manage the facilities budget balancing cost discipline with safety and reliability.
• Support the transition to the new HQ with clear communication and smooth organisation.
• Take responsibility for health, safety and compliance in our buildings.
