Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a busy site in Leicester.

This hands-on role combines facilities management, health and safety, team leadership, contractor management and customer service to keep the site safe, efficient and compliant.

You will work closely with internal teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure the smooth running of the site, with a focus on service quality and staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and leading a facilities team in a similar environment.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety legislation and risk assessments.
• Experience managing contractors and facilities contracts.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and general building maintenance.
• Experience managing budgets and monitoring expenditure.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supporting a small facilities team, including training, 1:1s and performance reviews
• Ensuring the site meets relevant health, safety and statutory compliance requirements
• Completing and reviewing risk assessments, audits and health and safety procedures
• Overseeing building maintenance and preventative maintenance programmes
• Managing contractors, suppliers and facilities contracts
• Monitoring service levels and ensuring work is completed to agreed standards
• Supporting maintenance, refurbishment and improvement projects
• Managing facilities-related budgets and expenditure
• Coordinating room bookings and set-ups
• Providing excellent customer service and resolving facilities queries promptly
• Acting as a point of contact for escalated issues
• Working closely with internal teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure the smooth running of the site
