Job summary

ISS Facility Services UK is seeking an experienced dual-service Facilities Manager to oversee delivery across 10 local job centres and offices in Preston and surrounding areas. The role requires managing both building maintenance and contract cleaning, ensuring performance, compliance, and value for money with strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate will lead site teams, monitor KPIs and maintain high standards in a complex, regulated environment. Local travel is required.

Qualifications

• IOS/Managing Safely qualification.
• Experience in multi-site FM management.
• Understanding of statutory compliance in facilities.
• Current progression towards Level 3 or 4 FM qualification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hard and soft FM delivery across multiple sites.
• Manage client relationships and proactively resolve issues.
• Ensure statutory compliance and maintenance standards.
• Lead site teams including supervisors, engineers and cleaners.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and quality.

Job description

Location: Preston with local travel (Accrington, Blackburn, Burnley, Chorley etc)

We are recruiting for an experienced dual-service Facilities Manager to join our team supporting a high-profile government contract.

You will take full ownership of service delivery across your allocated regional sites – 10 local job centres and offices.

Managing both building maintenance and contract cleaning, you will ensure performance, compliance, and value for money while maintaining strong client relationships within a complex and highly regulated environment.

You will act as the key interface between the client and operational teams, ensuring we consistently demonstrate high standards, transparency, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee hard and soft FM service delivery across multiple sites
• Manage client relationships and proactively resolve service issues
• Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements and SFG20 maintenance standards
• Manage site-based teams including supervisors, engineers, and cleaners (where applicable)
• Oversee subcontractor performance, compliance, and service quality
• Monitor and report on KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics using CAFM system (Maximo

About You

• Strong understanding of both hard and soft FM services
• Experience managing client expectations in a complex contract environment
• IOSH Managing Safely qualification
• Understanding of statutory compliance requirements
• Working towards Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Facilities Management
