The Albany is seeking a Facilities Manager to support Deptford Lounge, a busy community space in Southeast London. You will blend hands-on repairs with compliance duties, lead a small premises team, and maintain accurate records to ensure safe, welcoming spaces.

You will work across Deptford Lounge and Tidemill Academy, proactively identifying issues, coordinating contractors, and supporting event delivery and day-to-day operations with excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising facilities, premises, or building operations in public/community/education settings.
• Proven ability to perform basic building repairs and troubleshooting across different systems.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk assessments and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water) and related components.
• Experience managing contractors, maintenance schedules, and planned-PPMs.

Responsabilités

• Hands-on maintenance and compliance management.
• Lead a small team of Premises Officers and Assistants.
• Oversee maintenance activities and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure high service standards and proactive issue resolution.
• Occasional Duty Manager cover and support for events and customer service.
• Maintain records on the facilities management portal.
