This is an exciting opportunity to ensure the smooth operation of our estate, providing an exceptional experience for colleagues, customers, and visitors.

As Facilities Manager, you’ll oversee building services and ensure processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organisational needs. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers to support a safe, high-performing workplace while leading projects that ensure the estate remains effective and fit for purpose.

In this role, you'll help maintain compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Additionally, you'll manage various facilities projects, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

How you’ll make an impact:

  1. Supporting the Head of Health, Safety & Facilities in creating a safe, efficient working environment for colleagues and visitors
  2. Managing building systems to ensure all services and equipment are regularly updated and well-maintained
  3. Developing and implementing effective solutions to address operational challenges and ensure continuity of service
  4. Monitoring and auditing contractor performance while managing permits and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
  5. Acting as a deputy in the absence of the Head of Department, including responsibilities for fire management and health and safety incident reporting
  6. Overseeing facilities projects, including procurement, tendering, and supervising on-site works
  7. Occasionally provide weekend coverage for high-risk works that cannot be completed during regular hours

We’d love to hear from you if you offer the following:

  1. Previous experience in facilities management within a similar environment
  2. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems
  3. Proven ability to manage contractors and suppliers effectively
  4. Experience in project management within occupied environments
  5. Experience in using Microsoft Office and building management systems (BMS)
  6. Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  7. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively

What will we offer you in return?

  • Annual leave starting at 25 days and increasing up to 30 days with length of service
  • 8 bank holidays and an additional 3 days off during the Christmas closure
  • YOU celebration day to celebrate your birthday or another life event
  • YOU hour allowing you one hour per month to spend time on something that promotes your wellbeing
  • Learning and Wellbeing fund of up to £200 per year
  • £400 towards any NCFE accredited qualifications per year
  • Up to 20 Volunteering hours per year
  • Flexible working culture with a hybrid working approach
  • Early finish on a Friday at 4:30pm to start your weekend early
  • Health cash plan through Westfield to claim towards health costs such as dental and optical
  • Tech and Home scheme with savings at Currys and IKEA
  • Employee Assistance Programme with a confidential helpline and access to face to face and telephone counselling
  • Pension of up to 9% employer contribution when you contribute 3%
  • Death in service payment worth 4 x your salary
