Job description

Equans is looking for a Facilities Manager to join our team in Speke on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus, and benefits package.

Role Location and Travel

This role will be based at the Equans Speke office with additional travel across the contract for Knowsley Schools.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the delivery of Hard Facilities Services for the Knowsley Schools PFI estate.
  2. Ensure all reactive works and site team PPM activities meet rectification targets.
  3. Coordinate with Helpdesk and site teams to log and record completion times for planned, corrective, and reactive works.
  4. Deputise for the Account Manager as necessary.
  5. Oversee small & medium-sized variation works, ensuring compliance with pricing, CDM, and contractual requirements.
  6. Support Project Management division with larger Variations.
  7. Manage, motivate, and inspire site teams.
  8. Conduct monthly Manager Safety Visits and record findings.
  9. Audit legislative compliance folders and escalate concerns.
  10. Manage risks related to safety, health, environment, and quality through assessments, PPE, training, and procedures.
  11. Support Works Cost Co-Ordinator to ensure accurate billing and timely payments.
  12. Attend quarterly SMT and monthly client meetings to provide operational input.

Candidate Profile
  • Excellent customer service skills and expectation management
  • Experience managing small to medium variation works
  • Professional and reasonable conflict resolution skills
  • Experience with CAFM systems
  • Strong motivation and influencing skills
  • Understanding of risk assessment/management, ideally IOSH accredited
  • Knowledge of Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality assurance systems
