Job description

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a FACILITIES MANAGER to join our well-established client based in Leicestershire on a full-time permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering an attractive annual salary and room for growth and progression.

This role will cover five sites in the Leicestershire area. Previous experience and a NEBOSH qualification are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Directors & H&S Consultants to maintain high standards of health and safety and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct regular visual patrols, document monthly premises checklists, and perform equipment audits across all sites.
  • Assist in coordinating health and safety aspects of maintenance work.
  • Promptly advise Directors of any issues or potential risks.
  • Review, maintain, and complete health and safety documentation, policies, procedures, risk assessments, and management systems.
  • Train and induct employees and temporary staff on H&S policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, tidy, secure, and professional environment across all sites.
  • Ensure buildings, properties, and equipment comply with legislative requirements (e.g., H&S, Fire, PAT Testing) with complete and up-to-date records.
  • Monitor workplace risks and hazards, and report or rectify as necessary.
  • Oversee general property and facilities maintenance.
  • Appoint and supervise contractors for maintenance work.
  • Possess a valid driving license.
  • Hold a NEBOSH qualification.
  • Be a team player with excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Complete a five-year history and DBS check, as required for HMRC-approved premises and industry accreditations.
  • Experience in logistics or freight is desirable but not essential.

Training:

  • Industry-related training and support will be provided throughout.
