An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities Manager to join an innovative and rapidly growing organisation based in Milton Park, Oxford. This temporary position will involve overseeing the day-to-day management, maintenance, compliance and safety of a large multi-building site, ensuring facilities operate efficiently with minimal disruption to business operations.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining practical maintenance, contractor management, project work, health & safety compliance, budget management and team leadership.
Minimum 5 years' experience within Facilities Management, Building Services or a similar environment.
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building maintenance systems.
Previous experience managing contractors, projects and facilities budgets.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements.
Experience using CMMS or Facilities Management systems.
Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Ability to work in a hands-on role involving occasional manual handling and site-based maintenance activities.
Facilities Management experience within a laboratory environment.
IWFM or Certified Facilities Manager qualification.
NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
