Job summary

Whittington Health is seeking a skilled maintenance engineer to deliver safe and effective mechanical and general maintenance across 13 community sites and the acute hospital when required.

You will repair, maintain, test and install plant, equipment and building fabric, with duties spanning PPM, fault finding, emergencies, and new works. Training others and clear communication with estates staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised trade apprenticeship with engineering knowledge.
• BTEC HNC/diploma in Engineering or City & Guilds qualification required.
• Training to undertake accredited hospital systems courses as required.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of maintenance across 13 community sites and hospital site as needed.
• Repair, maintenance or installation of plant, equipment, systems and building fabric.
• Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance, testing/calibration, fault finding and emergency response.
• Defect correction and execution of New works.
• Train and instruct users of job-specific systems and equipment; communicate with estates staff at all levels.
