Job summary

Müller is seeking a Business Support Technician at our Skelmersdale site to maintain facilities, support compliance, and ensure a safe, efficient working environment for colleagues.

The role involves reactive maintenance, PPMs, and assisting with refurbishment projects within a permanent, daytime shifting schedule. Training and development opportunities accompany a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities, building services or property maintenance.
• NVQ in Plumbing or relevant trade qualification is advantageous.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting tasks.
• Good health and safety knowledge and safe systems of work.
• Knowledge of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) principles.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out first-fix repairs.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication across departments.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and site standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive repairs and general maintenance across the site.
• Support site compliance activities, including contractor control, permit-to-work, Legionella management, and inspections.
• Maintain building fabric, plumbing, drainage and basic electrical systems.
• Support water hygiene, energy efficiency and environmental compliance initiatives.
• Maintain external site areas, including grounds, drainage and guttering.
• Use hand and power tools safely to complete tasks.
• Support stock control and maintenance materials management.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and keep accurate records.
• Assist with refurbishment projects, deep cleans, office moves and facility improvements.
• Support pest-proofing and other site quality initiatives.
