Job summary

Randstad CPE in Liverpool is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join a leading national Facilities Management provider. The role covers planned, reactive and cyclical maintenance across the site, with on-call rota and seasonal duties.

You'll perform fire alarm tests, emergency lighting checks, water hygiene tasks and general fabric repairs, while upholding safety standards and patient dignity. 40 hours weekly, temporary to permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Basic awareness of building fabric and general repairs.
• Familiarity with routine testing procedures (fire alarms, emergency lighting).
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance tasks across the site to agreed standards.
• Perform routine compliance testing (fire alarm checks, emergency lighting).
• Support water hygiene maintenance per logbook and regulatory standards.
• Uphold safety, infection control, and patient dignity.
• Maintain tools and plant inspections per regulations.
• Participate in on-call rota and seasonal duties such as gritting.
