Job summary

Interaction Recruitment are seeking a reliable Site Maintenance Assistant for a Preston-based factory. The role involves hands-on maintenance across a varied range of tasks with an immediate start.

The position requires working Monday–Thursday 07:00–15:30 and Friday 07:00–13:00, with weekly pay at £13.00–£15.00 per hour depending on experience. A proactive, independent worker will fit well here.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance, property maintenance or similar multi-trade work.
• Practical skills across a range of building repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general building maintenance and repairs.
• Basic joinery and plumbing work.
• Minor roofing and guttering repairs.
• Brickwork, pointing, masonry repairs and replacement of bricks.
• Building and demolishing internal walls and structures as required.
• Carrying out general groundworks around the factory.
• Repairing and replacing flooring, including timber, concrete and asphalt.
• Painting, rendering and other general building repairs.
• Sourcing and purchasing materials as required, following company procedures.
• Liaising with external contractors when specialist work is required.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
