GTG Training Limited is recruiting a Facilities Maintenance Operative for our Edinburgh centre. The role covers general building upkeep, room setup and ensuring the venue presents a high standard for guests.

You will be part of a small team with opportunities to learn and progress, working mainly Monday to Friday 7am–4pm, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, driven and highly motivated to go the extra mile to make events successful.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to adapt to a fast pace and maintain high standards under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Working as part of a small team with opportunities to learn and progress.
• General building maintenance and related trade work (carpentry, decorating).
• Set up function and meeting rooms to a high standard for guests.
• Maintain the facility to ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Open and lock up the centre in the evening.
• Occasional evening and weekend work.
• Ensure all work follows risk assessments and relevant regulations (Working at heights, COSHH, Manual handling).

Hours

Full time: Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm.

The role

You’ll be working as part of a small but perfectly formed team,with plenty of opportunities to learn and progress yourcareer.

The facilities team requires a mix of semi-skilled relevant experienceor previous trade experience in the following areas.

• General building
• Carpenter or joiner
• Decorator
• Setting up function and meeting rooms to a high standard to give a fantastic first impression to our guests
• Looking after the maintenance of the facility - generally ensuring everything’s run to a high standard
• Opening and locking up the centre in the evening
• Occasional evening and weekend work
• Ensuring all work is conducted in line with risk assessments
• Relevant regulations are following - Working at heights, COSSH and Manual handling
