Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee all site facilities and maintenance activities at our manufacturing site in Ipswich, Suffolk. This role involves ensuring compliance with legal and Textron standards, managing FM contracts, and leading a team of eight facilities maintenance staff.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with all Company, Textron, and EHS regulations and legislation;
- Managing all facilities and maintenance activity;
- Management of all FM contracts and contractors;
- Project management for construction, installation, and demolition activities;
- Management of site legal requirements, alongside the EHS team;
- Supporting, leading, developing and motivating a team of facilities maintenance staff;
- Monitoring and implementing energy management and saving initiatives;
- Managing a site programme of proactive maintenance activities;
- Being committed to development of self and other in the team, in the latest techniques and technology applicable to the plant and equipment;
- Attending site emergency call outs as required;
- Taking on specific/special projects as requested by the Operations Director;
- Other duties as required.
About You
- Degree educated or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar discipline, is preferred;
- Prior experience in Facilities and or Maintenance Management required;
- Experience of high-voltage electrical systems is advantageous;
- Strong leadership and communication skills;
- You should be highly organised and self-motivated, able to demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and adaptability;
- You should have a keen interest in personal development, and an ability to mentor team members;
- Strongly task oriented, with a proactive nature;
- Excellent analytical skills;
