Babcock is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer for the site in Walsall, West Midlands. The role supports the upkeep of buildings, equipment and infrastructure to keep operations safe and reliable. It combines electrical and facilities tasks with a focus on security and compliance.

Typical duties include planned and reactive maintenance, fault resolution, and coordinating with contractors. The position is full-time, 39 hours weekly, with fixed hours and some flexibility.

Qualifications

• Previous facilities maintenance experience.
• Electrical maintenance experience.
• Basic Health and Safety awareness.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding capability.
• Good IT skills and willingness to learn business systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities across site facilities and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns, fault-finding issues, and ensuring systems are made safe and restored efficiently.
• Maintain tools, equipment, site assets, grounds, and housekeeping standards.
• Support contractors and stakeholders by coordinating activities and providing safe site access.
• Update maintenance records while following Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and identifying improvement opportunities.
