Job summary

One Call Consultants are seeking a capable Maintenance Engineer/Handyman to join a large client site in Bloxwich, Walsall. The role blends building and facilities tasks with support for service engineers on-site and at customer premises.

Expect a hands-on, flexible candidate who can work independently or with a team, has a DBS check and a full UK driving licence, and who can adapt to travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience in a similar maintenance, handyman, facilities or multi-skilled role.
• Good general carpentry skills.
• Experience in painting and decorating.
• Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, can-do attitude; flexible and adaptable.
• Health and safety awareness.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• DBS check may be required due to client base.

Responsibilities

• General building and maintenance work.
• Carpentry, painting and decorating.
• Basic plastering and repairs.
• Slab and paving work.
• Grounds and external areas upkeep.
• Basic plumbing and basic electrical maintenance where competent.
• Repairs and upkeep throughout the site.
• Identify maintenance issues and ensure work is completed safely and to a good standard.
• Support engineers on installation, repair and replacement tasks.
• Travelling to customer sites when required.
