Job summary

Quantum Care in the United Kingdom is seeking a versatile caretaker to join our home in Rickmansworth. You will carry out routine inspections, support maintenance reporting, and help keep indoor and outdoor areas well presented.

The role involves moving furniture, basic repairs, and independent workload management, with a focus on safety, cleanliness and resident comfort. We offer training, DBS checks, and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaker, maintenance, facilities, or building services.
• Ability to carry out basic repairs and upkeep.
• Proactive and able to resolve issues before they arise.
• Confident working independently and managing workload.
• Good communication with residents, visitors and colleagues.
• Basic IT skills for reporting issues.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine inspections of the Home and reporting maintenance needs to the Housekeeping Manager
• Cleaning outdoor areas such as footpaths, waste and parking zones, including snow and ice clearance
• Assisting with moving furniture, including tables and hospital beds
• Undertaking additional duties, as required, to support the smooth operation of the Home, as directed by the Home Manager or Housekeeping Manager
