Job summary

Amplius is seeking a Facilities Officer in Peterborough to oversee the daily running of the site, coordinate contractors and maintain safety compliance. The role is fixed at 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30–12:30, office-based five days per week.

You will manage building operations, health and safety checks, and space planning while ensuring cost-effective efficiency. A UK driving licence is required for occasional travel between offices.

Qualifications

• A minimum of four GCSEs or equivalent at grades A-C.
• Strong knowledge of facility operations and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in facilities, building management or property maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day running of the facility to keep it safe and functional.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs and contractor works across heating, plumbing, electrical and general building upkeep.
• Carry out regular Health & Safety inspections and report non-compliance.
• Oversee security, cleaning, waste management and other building services including access controls and emergency response.
• Support space planning and sustainability initiatives including office layouts and energy efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records and reports and identify improvements to reduce costs.
