Job summary

Vita Student Edinburgh is seeking a Facilities Assistant to perform on-site maintenance across a student residence. You’ll handle everyday fixes, safety checks, and respond to student tickets throughout the day, keeping spaces in top condition.

The role is permanent, full-time (42.5 hours/week) with a salary of £28,500 plus a performance-related annual bonus and benefits. Mondays to Fridays, 9am–6pm, in Edinburgh.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in trades or DIY work.
• Willingness to perform a range of maintenance tasks.
• Comfort using basic hand and power tools on-site.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs in student accommodation.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety checks and log results.
• Respond to tickets and fix issues in studios and communal areas.
• Assist with cleaning, painting, and light refurbishment as needed.
