Job summary

Retirement Villages seeks a skilled Facilities Manager to oversee property, grounds maintenance and housekeeping within our village. You will work with the Village Management Team to uphold high standards of service, compliance and resident experience.

You will lead Estates Operatives and contractors, manage PPM, budgets and contractor performance, ensuring safety compliance and a collaborative, supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Level 2+ qualification in Facilities Management or equivalent.
• 3+ years’ experience managing estates, buildings or residential facilities.
• IOSH Managing Safely and Legionella awareness certifications.
• Experience with PPM, budgets and contractor relationships.
• Strong IT and facilities software experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted point of contact for residents and promote an inclusive service culture.
• Welcome new residents and guide them through facilities and maintenance processes.
• Engage with Residents’ Association and committees, respond to feedback.
• Promote value-added services that enhance resident experience and generate revenue.
• Manage and maintain buildings, systems, communal areas and landscaped grounds.
• Ensure housekeeping and laundry services meet high standards.
• Lead planned maintenance, procurement and contractor management within budget.
• Maintain safety and communication systems (fire alarms, emergency calls).
• Ensure health and safety compliance, including audits and risk assessments.
