Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced General Manager Facilities to lead the Trust's Facilities and Soft FM across Wexham Park Hospital, the CDC, Heatherwood Hospital and community sites. You will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure safe, high‑quality, patient‑focused services that meet NHS standards.

  • Significant experience managing large multidisciplinary Facilities or Hotel Services teams.
  • Knowledge of NHS standards, regulations, and best practice relevant to Facilities Services.
  • Experience of successfully managing change within a large and diverse workforce.
  • Evidence of strategic and business planning, policy development, reporting, negotiation and stakeholder management.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic leader to join Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust as General Manager Facilities.

Reporting to the Associate Director Estates & Facilities, the postholder will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of Facilities and Support Services across Wexham Park Hospital, CDC, Heatherwood Hospital and Community sites.

The role provides strategic and operational leadership for a wide range of Soft FM services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-focused services that support the Trust's strategic objectives, regulatory requirements and commitment to excellence in patient care.

The postholder will be responsible for the operational and strategic management of:

  • Catering Services, including patient feeding and staff catering services.
  • Domestic Services, including planned and reactive cleaning.
  • Portering Services.
  • Security Services.
  • Linen and Laundry Services.
  • Waste Management Services.
  • Pest Control Services.
  • Window Cleaning Services.
  • PLACE and Premises Assurance Model (PAM) performance for Soft FM services.
  • Associated Facilities contracts and contractor management arrangement.

Main duties of the job

The General Manager Facilities will provide leadership and direction for the Trust's Facilities services, ensuring that services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with statutory, regulatory and NHS standards. The postholder will work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to enhance patient experience, drive service improvements, and ensure Facilities services are fully integrated into the Trust's strategic and operational plans.

Key Responsibilities Include

Essential criteria
