Job summary

Exeter College in Exeter, EX4 4JS, is seeking an Estates Maintenance & Services Assistant to carry out repair and maintenance across several Exeter sites, prepare classrooms and workshops, and assist events by moving furniture and equipment.

You’ll need practical maintenance experience, good customer service, and the ability to work on your own initiative. On-call duties are occasional; the role is full‑time, on‑site, with generous holidays and a strong pension.

Qualifications

• Relevant / general maintenance experience (A/I)
• Good general practical skills and interpersonal skills (A/I)
• Able to work under pressure and flexibly as part of a team (A/I)
• Able to work using own initiative and maintain a reasonable level of physical fitness (I)

Responsibilities

• Carry out repair and maintenance across several Exeter sites (A/I)
• Prepare classroom and workshop areas and support events by moving furniture/equipment (A/I)
• Be on-call for emergencies (approx. one week every 2 months) and respond as trained
• Provide high level of customer service and teamwork (A/I)
