Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Facilities Manager for our Nottingham site. The role leads a small team, ensures facilities are safe, compliant and well maintained, and manages service providers and contracts to meet client expectations.

The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent, solid FM experience, strong customer service skills, and knowledge of health and safety requirements (IOSH/NEBOSH preferred).

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Previous facilities management experience including line management.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High knowledge of Health and Safety legislation with IOSH/NEBOSH preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor FM works onsite and liaise with service providers and sub-contractors.
  • Ensure building fabric is maintained to a high standard within budget.
  • Oversee health and safety compliance on site.
  • Manage external contracts to meet service standards and contract terms.
  • Prepare, control and monitor service agreements within client budgets.
  • Track KPIs and take action to maintain required standards.
  • Maintain management information/records and tenant relationships.
  • Proactively manage risk and insurance issues on site.

Job Title: Facilities Manager

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Facilities Manager to join the team located in Nottingham.

The purpose of the Facilities Manager role is to have management and overall responsibility for a group of properties inline with all Health and Safety, environmental, company procedures related general legislation and client/tenant requirements. This includes ensuring the adherence to the budgetary costs and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor FM works onsite and liaise with service providers/sub-contractors.
  • Ensure the fabric of the building both externally and internally is maintained and serviced to a high standard in accordance with the management contract and agreed budgets.
  • Be responsible for all the health and safety compliance onsite.
  • Oversee third party contracts to ensure the correct standard of service is provided in accordance with the agreed contract.
  • Preparation, control and monitoring of the service agreement in accordance with the client’s budgetary agreement.
  • Regular monitoring of the key performance indicators and taking remedial action as applicable to ensure the required standards are maintained.
  • To compile and maintain all required management information/records relating to company, health and safety and other related records.
  • To further develop and maintain excellent tenant relationships, ensuring that they receive the highest standards of service in relation to their operational needs.
  • Proactively manage risk and deal with insurance issues on site.
  • Liase with the building manager and the procurement department to ensure compilation of external contracts.
  • Full JD can be provided upon application.
Person Specification / Requirements
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Previous facilities management experience. This includes Line Management responsibility for Company personnel and contractors and management service agreements as applicable.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High degree and knowledge reference of Health and Safety legislation, environmental protection requirements and ideally IOSH or NEBOSH qualified.
