Job summary

DSV is seeking a Warehouse Maintenance Technician/Facilities Assistant to maintain and repair warehouse equipment and facilities. The role focuses on routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring a safe working environment in a busy warehouse.

You will perform inspections, conduct preventative maintenance on forklifts and conveyors, and document work orders. The position requires a strong mechanical background, safety awareness, and the ability to operate or obtain certification for

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of warehouse facilities, machinery and equipment to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor systems and other warehouse machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and plumbing issues and coordinate repairs as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities including work orders and inventory of parts.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Assist in the set up and dismantling of warehouse layouts as needed for new inventory or seasonal changes.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to minimize disruption during maintenance activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and perform repairs in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of maintenance tool, equipment and storage areas.
• Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge related to warehouse maintenance
