Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Maintenance Technician/Facilities Assistant at Mercia Park. The role is Monday-Friday 8.00am-4.00pm with occasional evenings and weekends, based in a warehouse environment, focusing on upkeep and repair of all equipment and facilities.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and maintain accurate records. A strong mechanical background and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent vocational training preferred.
• Previous experience in warehouse maintenance.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).

Responsibilities

• Inspect warehouse facilities, machinery and equipment regularly.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Maintain records of maintenance work orders and parts inventory.
• Ensure safety regulations and PPE usage are followed.
• Assist in setting up and dismantling warehouse layouts.
• Coordinate with staff to minimise disruption during maintenance.
• Respond to emergency maintenance promptly.
• Keep maintenance tools and storage areas clean and organized.
• Undertake training to enhance skills.
