Job summary

ATA Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Facilities Engineer for its Nottingham-based energy centre. This permanent, full-time role involves maintaining critical plant and utility systems within a safety-focused industrial environment.

The successful candidate will perform PPM and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and support safe operation while contributing to reliability improvements. Overtime is available, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Time-served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Strong mechanical maintenance experience.
• Understanding of industrial processes and steam systems.
• Good knowledge of engineering health and safety.
• Fault-finding and repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on industrial plant and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime.
• Support the safe and reliable operation of energy centre equipment and utility systems.
• Respond to breakdowns and abnormal operating conditions.
• Follow health and safety procedures and safe systems of work.
• Support colleagues and contribute to continuous improvements in plant reliability.
