Job summary

ATA Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Facilities Engineer at a Nottingham-based energy centre. This permanent, full-time role involves maintaining critical plant and utility systems in a safety-focused industrial environment.

The engineer will perform PPM and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and support safe, reliable operation. It requires a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent and strong mechanical maintenance experience, with opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Time-served mechanical/electrical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with boiler houses, energy centres or industrial utilities.
• Strong mechanical maintenance experience.
• Understanding of industrial processes and steam systems.
• Fault-finding and repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on industrial plant and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime.
• Support the safe and reliable operation of energy centre equipment and utility systems.
• Respond to breakdowns and abnormal operating conditions.
• Follow health and safety procedures and safe systems of work.
• Support colleagues and contribute to continuous improvements in plant reliability.

Hours: Monday to Friday, with overtime available, including weekends

This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served Facilities Engineer to join an established engineering team, maintaining critical plant and utility systems within a safety-focused industrial environment.
