Job summary

ATA Recruitment is supporting a major UK organisation to recruit a Facilities Engineer for its Nottingham energy centre. The role focuses on maintaining critical plant and utility systems within a safety‑focused industrial environment.

You will perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive work, diagnose mechanical faults and execute repairs to minimise downtime. A time‑served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification and strong maintenance experience are essential; knowledge of steam

Qualifications

• Time-served mechanical/electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Strong mechanical maintenance experience.
• Understanding of industrial processes and steam systems.
• Good knowledge of engineering health and safety.
• Fault-finding and repair experience.
• Experience with boiler houses, energy centres or industrial utilities would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on industrial plant and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime.
• Support the safe and reliable operation of energy centre equipment and utility systems.
• Respond to breakdowns and abnormal operating conditions.
• Follow health and safety procedures and safe systems of work.
• Support colleagues and contribute to continuous improvements in plant reliability.
