We're a leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK, dedicated to making everyday taste better. As a vibrant, fast-paced food manufacturer, we employ 13,300 colleagues across 16 manufacturing units and 17 distribution depots nationwide. We supply all the UK's food retailers with products ranging from sandwiches, soups, and sushi to cooking sauces, pickles, and ready meals. In FY24, we generated revenues of 1.8 billion pounds.

Our extensive direct-to-store (DTS) distribution network, comprising 17 depots, enables us to make over 10,500 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce, as well as third-party goods.

At our Manton Wood site, which employs around 1,700 colleagues, we produce sandwiches and wraps for major UK retailers including Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, Aldi, and Lidl. The site features amenities such as a gym, a restaurant with hot food, and a staff shop for our colleagues.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Facilities Engineer, you will be part of a team of four engineers reporting to the Facilities Managers. Your role involves carrying out day-to-day service tasks to ensure the site operates safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Completing planned and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment to maximize reliability and performance, including work on steam boilers, air conditioning units, refrigeration, and effluent plants.
2. Fault finding to establish root causes and implementing fixes to resolve issues.
3. Ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards, safe systems of work, and standard operating procedures, along with legislative and compliance standards.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 12-hour days

What We're Looking For

1. Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
2. Problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis, delivering sustainable solutions.
