Contract: Full Time, 42 hours a week

Location: The City Ground, Nottingham, NG2 5FJ and The Nigel Doughty Academy, Nottingham, NG2 7SR

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Qualified Electrician with a background in both domestic and commercial installations and maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of electrical tasks, including installations, inspections, testing, and fault-finding, while ensuring full compliance with the latest IET Wiring Regulations.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and fault-finding on domestic and commercial properties.
  • Provide electrical support during matchdays, ensuring the smooth operation of critical systems such as lighting, fire alarms, and generators / essential power provisions.
  • Be available to address any urgent repairs or issues during events and matches to ensure the stadium remains fully operational.
  • Ensure all work complies with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Perform testing, inspection, and certification of electrical installations.
  • Conduct electrical maintenance work and respond to breakdowns or emergency repairs.
  • Diagnose electrical problems and identify solutions.
  • Work on a variety of systems, including lighting, heating, fire alarms, and more.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and certification.
  • Collaborate with other trades and departments on larger projects.

Skills, Experience and Knowledge:

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification is essential.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 or equivalent testing and inspection qualifications are desirable.
  • Previous experience as a multi-skilled electrician in both domestic and commercial environments.
  • A valid ECS or JIB Gold Card (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach.
  • Full UK driving licence (required).
